Canada is a parliamentary democracy, a federation, and a constitutional monarchy. Canada has 10 provinces Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Canada also has 3 territories- Northwest Territories*, Nunavut*, and Yukon*. In addition to that, Canada has 3 branches, Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. The government is "headed" by the queen Elizabeth, but really controlled by Prime Minister Stephen Joseph Harper.

Father of Canada
Samuel de Champlain was a French explorer and cartographer best known for establishing and governing the settlements of New France and the city of Quebec.French explorer Samuel de Champlain was born in 1574 in Brouage, France. He began exploring North America in 1603, establishing the city of Quebec in the northern colony of New France, and mapping the Atlantic coast and the Great Lakes, before settling into an administrative role as the de facto governor of New France in 1620. He died on December 25, 1635, in Quebec.

Canadian Sports
Sport in Canada consists of a wide variety of games. There are many contests that Canadians value, the most common sports are ice hockey, soccer, lacrosse, Canadian football, basketball, curling and baseball, with ice hockey and lacrosse being the official winter and summer sports. Ice hockey, referred to as simply "hockey", is Canada's most prevalent winter sport. It is Canada's official national winter sport. Lacrosse, is Canada's oldest and official summer sport.
